If you want to fly over the swell in a Wing Foil in the sun when it’s grey at home, Fuerteventura is the perfect destination. This Canary Island (nicknamed the Hawaii of the Atlantic) is the perfect combination of turquoise waters, heat and wind. The desert landscapes, the dunes as far as the eye can see, the breathtaking beaches, the small fishing villages, provide a real feeling of disorientation. Rocked by the wind and the waves, you can sail a Wing Foil in a mild climate all year round. Paradise, without having to cross the Atlantic.
At first sight, this destination seems to welcome mass tourism, but the north of the island has managed to protect itself from it. You will discover traditional and authentic villages, where it is good to stroll after your session. There are unspoilt beaches, far from seaside resorts, but also lunar and volcanic landscapes. The nature is so diverse, you are assured of a total sense of escape.
Fuerteventura: favourable conditions for Wing Foil
The island of Fuerteventura is a great place to live because of its mild climate, with plenty of sunshine and trade windsfrom the north-east of the Canaries. All the conditions are therefore met for practising board sports. The wind blows all year round and the temperatures are pleasant in summer and winter. These range from 22°C to 31°C in the air and from 18°C to 23°C in the water. One of our favourite playgrounds for Wing Foil, Surf Foilor Kitesurf!
Moreover, it is anaccessible destination, both in terms of time and cost. You can find direct flights from the mainland at affordable prices depending on the season. Once there, the cost of living is relatively cheap.
