Here are all the perfect spots to practice wing foil in Ile de France.

You don’t have to go far, it is quite possible to practice le wing foil in the Paris region. Indeed, in Ile de France there are many water sports centres where you can come and practice and even take lessons in your favourite sport. To help you, here is a list of water sports centres in the Paris region. There are also many Facebook groups and forums dedicated to Wing Foil, perfect for exchanging with other practitioners on their favourite spots in Ile de France.

  • Moisson-Lavacourt is seventy-five kilometres northwest of Paris. The town is home to one of the largest lakes in Ile de France (nearly one hundred and twenty hectares). It is the perfect spot for water sports! Admission is 7 euros for the day. It takes about an hour to get there by car to practice wing foil: take the A14 motorway towards Nanterre. Then take the A13 motorway and exit at “Bonnières-Centre”. To get there by public transport: take line J to Bonnière station. Then take the N°1 bus and get off at “Base de loisir”.
  • The Ile de loisirs de Créteil is located very close to Paris. There is a large lake waiting for you to come and practice your favourite board sports. The entrance fee is 7.50 euros. It takes about 25 minutes to get there by car. Take the A4 motorway, then the A86 motorway and take the “Provins /Troyes” exit. Then take the D86 (route de Choisy). To get there by public transport: take line 8 and get off at “Créteil université”.
  • Jablines is a seventy-five hectare green setting not far from Paris. This is a great place to come and practice wing foil alone or with others. The entrance fee is 7 euros for the day. It takes about forty minutes by car to get there: take the A4 motorway and exit at “Meaux-Jablines”. To get there by public transport: take the RER A to “Chessy / Marne-la-Vallée”, then take the N°24 bus and get off at the “Île de Loisirs” stop.
  • Vaires-sur-Marne is about forty kilometres from Paris. It is the ideal place for wingfoil lovers thanks to its Olympic water stadium. The entrance fee is 5.50 euros for the day. It takes about forty minutes from Paris to get there by car: take the A4 motorway towards “Metz Nancy”, then the A104 motorway towards Aéroport Charles de Gaulle. Finally, take exit 10 “Parc de loisirs de Torcy”. To get there by public transport: take the RER A to “Noisiel” then take bus No. 221 and get off at “Le canal”.
  • Cergy-Pontoise is a leisure centre that extends over two hundred and fifty hectares of water and greenery. Many activities are available such as surfing, rafting … But you can also come just to have a picnic with family or friends and practice the wing foil. Admission is 6 euros for the day. It takes about an hour to get there by car from Paris: take the A15 motorway and exit at junction 9 towards Cergy. To get there by public transport: take the RER A and get off at “Cergy-Préfecture” then take bus no. 48 and get off at “Base de loisirs”.

How to learn wing foil in Ile de France?

This new practice has been very successful in recent years. Accessible to all, this sliding sport can be practised in several different places, either at sea or on a body of water. Therefore, you will undoubtedly find the ideal spot even if you live in Ile de France.

If you want to make rapid progress in wing foiling, the solution is already there: come and take a course. Accompanied by competent professionals, you will learn the basics of this sport in order to practice it safely.

Go to the Ile de Loisir de Créteil to take wing foil and stand up paddle lessons. Count 108 euros for five two-hour sessions. After these ten hours of lessons, you can expect to make your first jumps even if you are a beginner.
