Have you ever seen a wingfoil spot accessible by public transport? We do! The mythical spot of La Pointe Rouge is located in the heart of Marseille, in the 8th arrondissement. You can get there by taking bus 19 or metro 2. The launch is usually done on the right of the beach of La Pointe Rouge or under the restaurant “La Riviera”.

The prevailing wind on this spot is the Mistral (North-West). It’s also a very good spot with a westerly wind. When conditions are favourable, there are waves to surf the swell and chop to jump. This spot is to be avoided in easterly winds and in north-east and south-east winds for beginners. The swell and offshore wind are likely to take you out to sea.
