What are the differences between a Classic Mid Aspect fin and a High Aspect fin?

It is important to choose your front wing according to your practice and your personal desires. There are many different ways to approach foiling, and that’s why we offer two ranges of front wings: the High Aspect range and the Classic range.

The High Aspect range

This range includes wings that have a large wingspan with a small string. They have little drag, and are very efficient at pumping while offering a superb gliding sensation. They are aimed at an informed public in Wing Foil, and allow you to reconnect the waves in surf foil, or to make beautiful speed edges in kite foil and wing foil.

The Classic range

This range includes wings that are typical Mid Aspect. Although they are less efficient at pumping, they are also very versatile and more manoeuvrable. Large surfaces like the 1750 and 2000 will be perfect for those who fly in a freeride perspective or for beginners, thanks to better lateral stability than a Low Aspect kite. These models, forgiving and evolving, have their place in the quiver of an experienced rider who is looking for lift in light winds. Next up is the 1500 model, which is a fast, playful and very maneuverable fin. If you like carving and intense bottom turns in surf foil or you are a skilled Wing Foil practitioner, it is an excellent choice.

If you are just starting out and have a featherweight (<50kg), this kite is for you. It will make you fly as if you had a 1750 under your feet.

How to choose your S-Foil Classic front wing?

The 2000 front foil wing (XXL): This is the front wing that offers the most lift. Very powerful, it allows the most important riders to easily start in Wing. Although it is not the fastest wing, it allows it to take off in a minimum of wind and in an environment that is not very buoyant, such as mountain lakes. It can also be suitable for experienced riders looking to dock start or sail in very light winds.

The 1750 Front Foil Wing (XL): This is the perfect fin for beginners in Wing. It will be able to comfortably lift sizes from 70 to 90Kg, while keeping an interesting potential for evolution. Versatile, it allows you to taste the sensations of SUP Foil, downwind foil and to start in Surf Foil in small soft waves. Towed behind a boat, it will get you off the ground quickly. If you’re looking to get started in Wing Foil with an evolving fin and have fun in small waves, this is by far the most interesting choice.

The 1500 (L) front foil wing: In Wingsurfing, it allows the lightest riders to learn without having a too powerful fin and to progress quickly. The main feature of this fin is its impressive versatility. Whether it’s Wing Foil, Wake Foil, Surf or SUP Foil, it offers a compromise between glide, stability and amazing maneuverability. It can also be used as a wind foil in light winds and small sail sizes (5m or less) for magical freeride sessions. The 1500 is the right wing for you if you want to do it all.

What's new for the S-Foil?

The S-Foil has been improved. Technically, it is lighter, more efficient and stiffer, but also easier to manoeuvre. But its main novelty lies elsewhere: it is now fully modular, and all its parts are interchangeable. With a single foil, you open up all disciplines. Simple and quick to assemble, it allows you to get out on the water as quickly as possible to take advantage of its full potential.

Improved weight and stiffness

We’ve made a lot of changes to make our S-Foil stiffer than ever. Its wider frame, lighter mast and improved connection give the whole thing high-flying performance, for a weight approaching a full carbon foil. We have adjusted the angle of incidence of each fin for the perfect balance between technique, glide and power.

High-end construction

Our S-Foil is built of the finest materials. A high-end, high-performance pre-preg carbon is combined with a T6061 aluminum used in aviation and resistant to the marine environment. This selection of materials, combined with long-developed hydrodynamic characteristics, makes the S-Foil Classique a model of performance and durability.
