All year round! The wind statistics are truly impressive. Which makes this region one of the windiest in Europe. In summer, there’s more Poniente (northerly wind) and in winter more Levente (easterly wind that accelerates with the Strait of Gibraltar. East of Gibraltar, through Levente, the wind will be less strong,) it will be strongest over Tarifa, and will diminish the further up we go. The mild temperatures all year round make this a perfect destination whatever the season.
Wing Foil in Andalusia
We won’t go into all the possible and unimaginable spots, because every beach can be a Wingfoil spot. Here’s what to remember. East of Gibraltar, the wind will be less constant in summer. These are more likely to be spots from November to June. To the west of Gibraltar, the consistency of wind conditions will be greatly improved, with higher wind statistics.

Access is very easy, thanks to its proximity to the main road, making it easy for cars or trucks to arrive close to the beach. The ideal time to sail at Los Lances Norte is all year round, but conditions are particularly favorable from November to April, offering unforgettable gliding sessions in breathtaking surroundings.

The equipment required for sailing in Tarifa can be very varied. In Levante (east wind), the wind can be very strong, so smaller wing sizes are preferable. On the other hand, in Poniente (north-westerly wind), the wind will be less strong, so a larger wing will be required.
