Moreover, spring and autumn remain mild with temperatures between 12°C and 18°C. As for the winter period, temperatures do not drop below 9°C on average. BONIFACIO: The Mecca of board sports in France (South)

The Bonifacio area is widely renowned for its exceptional wind conditions, the beauty of its landscapes, and its crystal-clear lagoons where the wind rushes in. Like all of southern Corsica, it benefits from significant exposure to prevailing winds. These make Bonifacio a magical area for wingfoiling.
Indeed, the Bonifacio area is ideal for Wingfoil. There are more than 190 days of wind, force 4 or more, per year. It is one of the windiest places in Europe. The prevailing winds are West / Southwest and East / Northeast.

La Tonnara, located west of Bonifacio, is a very famous Kitesurfing spot. It’s a real pleasure to wingfoil there. Indeed, the spot offers incredible wind conditions. Depending on the conditions, it can be perfect for wingfoil beginners, or allow more experienced riders to have a lot of fun. Considered one of the best Wing Foil spots in Corsica, La Tonnara provides access to the Gulf of Ventilègne. A great deep-water spot that benefits from consistent winds.

15 minutes northeast of Bonifacio, you'll find Balistra beach, a magnificent wild spot. The water is flat but the westerly wind can sometimes be strong and offshore. In these conditions, this wingfoil spot is more recommended for experienced riders. However, there's a very shallow pond just behind the beach, which allows beginners to wingfoil safely.

The Gulf of Figari spot is a wide, safe, and easily accessible bay. It’s a perfect spot for beginner and intermediate wing foil riders. It is also suitable for experienced riders who can go out of the bay to benefit from stronger wind and more space.

Finally, around Bonifacio, you’ll find the famous Piantarella lagoon. With its white sand beach and shallow waters, it’s a very popular wingfoil spot. The westerly wind that rushes into the Bonifacio straits creates superb sailing conditions for Wing Foil. Be careful, however, as the lagoon quickly becomes overcrowded during the peak summer season.

Ricanto beach is a long white sand beach located in the bay of Ajaccio. The wind conditions there are ideal, making it the starting point for great wing sessions throughout the gulf. Perfect for an afternoon with the family, the beach is easily accessible and also has a supervised swimming area. This is a real plus for going wingfoiling with complete peace of mind.

For those who want to wingfoil in the waves, Capo di Feno beach offers great thrills when conditions are right. Indeed, when the westerly wind blows, the beach transforms into a super surf spot. These are perfect conditions for great Wing Foil sessions in the waves, or even Surf Foil for the most experienced.

Moreover, when conditions are calm, the Corsican beach of Capo Di Feno is an excellent family paddleboarding spot. Its magnificent landscapes promise superb excursions, whether on the water or on land.

CALVI (North-West)

The Gulf of Calvi is perfect for wingfoilers who enjoy freestyle. The winds are sometimes strong, and depending on the conditions, the beach will delight wave enthusiasts for Wingfoil. GHISONACCIA (East)
