Foil surfing is a watersports activity that involves adding a hydrofoil to a surfboard. Foil surfing is becoming increasingly popular because it allows riders to surf swells of less than 50cm and doesn't require breaking waves to provide an extraordinary gliding experience. It's also possible to catch several waves in a row by pumping, without stopping.

You need at least a good level of surfing to hope to start foil surfing. It's possible to get started with good mastery of another foil board, but the take-off is difficult to grasp in that case.

For the board, you need a short, easy-to-paddle board like the Fast Flyer 4'6". Avoid boards with high volume; under 40L is ideal. For foiling, beginners should look at sizes between 1190 and 1500 square meters, depending on the spot and their size. For more experienced riders, a high aspect ratio front wing like the 1190L or 1350L is ideal for great gliding sensations and excellent pumping efficiency to get back into the waves. A short fuselage (61 or 56cm) helps with maneuverability and better pumping. We recommend short masts, 70cm or 80cm maximum.
