Pump foil accessories: adapt your foil to Pumping

In pump foil, a few adjustments change everything: the mast length depending on the dock, the fuselage length depending on the maneuverability you're looking for, the stabilizer angle depending on your level. Here's how to choose the right parts.

The mast

The 70 cm mast is the standard for the complete Pump Foil, the 85 cm exists as an option. If you're launching from a high dock, a longer mast prevents touching the water too early; from a low dock, a shorter mast generates less drag. The S-Foil mast comes in 60, 70, 85 and 90 cm.

The fuselage

A short fuselage makes the foil more maneuverable and more responsive to Pumping, at the cost of some stability. The S-Foil fuselage comes in a short version of 61 cm, and Pump Foil wings are compatible with all S-Foil fuselages.

The stabilizer and adjustments

On the S-Foil stabilizers, the 180 is the standard and the 290 HA provides more support at the rear if you're a complete beginner. The G10 shims and the rake shim (0.5°, 1° or 1.5°) modify the angle between the foil elements to adjust its behavior.

Hardware, tools and protection

Replace all your screws with the complete hardware set or a single one with the individual hardware. On an aluminum foil, apply Tef Gel to the screws during assembly to prevent corrosion between the hardware and aluminum. Keep the Foil Tool Box Titanium in your bag for adjustments at the water's edge, and transport the foil in its protection case. After a session in the sea, rinse it with fresh water and regularly check the tightness of the screws.
