FAQ

SROKA Company

Why choose titanium foil hardware over stainless steel?

Grade 5 Titanium offers three major advantages over stainless steel: 42% lighter, significantly more resistant to seawater corrosion, and virtually impossible to scratch thanks to the DLC coating. On a foil you disassemble and reassemble regularly, titanium hardware maintains its tightening quality far longer than standard stainless steel screws, which eventually oxidize and stick.

Which SROKA foils is this hardware compatible with?

SROKA Titanium Foil Tool Box hardware is designed specifically for the entire SROKA S-Foil range — aluminum and carbon, all generations. M8 screws cover mast/fuselage fastening and front wing connections. M6×30 screws are dedicated to specific connections. If you have any doubts about compatibility with your exact model, contact us at +33 2 98 32 53 69.

Is the supplied Torx key also titanium?

Yes. The T40 Torx key is manufactured from Grade 5 Titanium with the same DLC coating as the screws. It's a SROKA exclusive — it works for both M6×30 screws and all M8 screws in the range. One tool for your entire foil. Compact, lightweight, it fits in any wetsuit pocket.

What is DLC coating?

Is SROKA titanium foil hardware included with foils?

Yes. The Tool Box is included with the purchase of our Elite carbon foils (14mm HM) or Solo foils (16mm HM). If you buy one of these two foils, you automatically receive the complete titanium hardware set at no extra cost. You can also purchase it separately to upgrade your existing foil.
