Collection: Parawing

The parawing is a hybrid wing without an inflatable structure, similar to a soft mini-sail. Ultra-light, it fits in a pocket and provides continuous thrust, ideal for catching offshore swells downwind or for light foil navigation. No leading edge inflatable, no bulk: you can carry the wing in the palm of your hand.

The wing gets its rigidity from its inflatable bladders; the parawing does not. The result: it's more compact, lighter to handle, and you can "store" it while you surf the foil wave, then redeploy it to pick up speed again. It's the tool for those who want to travel light and chain bumps downwind.

There is no competition: the two are complementary. Wingfoiling remains the gold standard for learning to foil and riding in all conditions. Parawinging is for a rider who is already comfortable on a foil and is looking for extreme lightness, downwind riding, and a new way to play with the swell. Many of our riders do both depending on the spot and the day's agenda.

If you're already proficient in foiling (wingfoiling, SUP foiling, or surf foiling), the transition is quick: the movements are intuitive, especially if you have experience with kites or sailing. The adaptation time mainly focuses on managing the wing without a rigid structure. Our brand philosophy is to make performance accessible: our content and tutorials guide you step by step.

The choice depends on your weight, your level and, above all, the wind range you are aiming for. As a general rule: large sizes (5 m) catch light winds and make it easier to take off, small sizes (3 m) gain in maneuverability and control when it's windy. The FYNIX range is available in 3 m, 4 m and 5 m to cover most conditions.

Contrary to popular belief, the parawing is not exclusively for strong winds. With the right size, it's formidable from a light breeze to catch swells, as well as in medium conditions. This is precisely the role of multiple sizes in the range: to widen the navigation window.

These three names designate the same family of wings: single-skin flexible sails, without an inflatable leading edge, which pack into a pocket for downwind foiling. The category is recent and each brand is pushing its own name. The real differences lie in the control system: the parawing is traditionally controlled with a boom, the pocket wing with two handles, and the lowkite is more like a kite, with lines and larger sizes.
