Inflatable paddle boards store in a backpack, are more shock-resistant, and are suitable for the vast majority of users for cruising, touring, or beginner surfing. Hard paddle boards offer superior glide and are better suited for experienced users, competitors, or professional structures such as schools and rental companies. For beginners or recreational use, inflatable boards are the best option in 80% of cases.

If you're a beginner, a complete pack is recommended: it includes the board, pump, leash, fins, and paddle—everything you need to get on the water immediately. If you already have accessories or want to choose your paddle separately, a board alone may suffice.

The choice depends on your skill level and how you use it. A 3-piece aluminum paddle is perfect for beginners and occasional users: versatile, lightweight, and economical. For regular use or touring, a fiberglass or carbon paddle will provide lightness and efficiency over time, and reduce fatigue during long sessions.

The leash connects your ankle to the board. In case of a fall, it prevents you from losing your SUP, which is essential at sea or on bodies of water with currents. It is highly recommended for all users. Warning: in rivers with rapids, a straight leash is prohibited for safety reasons.

Most SROKA boards come with their fins. If you are sailing in shallow waters, retractable fins are a SROKA exclusive in France: they retract to avoid any problems when passing through shallow areas. US box fins are also available to customize your setup.
