SUP foil: choose your equipment well

SUP foil is the purest way to practice Downwind: you take off with your Paddle, then you chain swell bumps in flight, without wing or motor. It's also a gateway to foil if you come from Stand Up Paddle. Three elements matter: the board, the foil and the Paddle.

Which SUP foil board?

The DW 7'2 is a true 4x4: with the Paddle, in wing and in parawing. The 22" version (125 L) is the easiest and suits larger riders; the 20" (110 L) is more lively. The DW 8'3 V2 is more Downwind-oriented: it takes off very early but turns a bit less well, it's the choice of Paddle purists. All our SUP foil boards.

Which foil for SUP foil?

The UHA range foil with a 70 cm Mast is our reference. UHA front wings range from 700 to 1550 cm²:

• 1260: to get started, the easiest takeoff
• 1100: to get started in challenging conditions
• 800 and 930: once comfortable, in good conditions
• 1550: very light wind or heavy rider
• 700: experienced riders seeking speed

Which Paddle?

Light and rigid, with at least 60% carbon: it's what relaunches the foil at every bump. The Alpha Paddle 60% carbon breaks down into 2 or 3 parts.

Kit or custom setup?

The SUP foil DW 7'2 + S-Foil UHA kit brings together the board and foil, with your choice of board and front wing size, ready to ride. If you already have a foil, complete your setup with a DW board and a paddle.
