Presentation
The 1260 UHA has been developed for light downwind, wing foil and surf foil conditions.
For downwind, this 1260 offers unsuspected ability to fly in low swell and/or windy conditions, with an incredible capacity to pump easily. With a wingspan approaching 1,200 cm, it lets you sail without limits, whatever the conditions, and glide endlessly.
This kite integrates perfectly with Sroka’s LW (Light Wind) and DW (Downwind) board ranges, ensuring optimum compatibility and performance in terms of glide and lift in light winds or small swells.
Settings: For an 80 kg weight, +1° in wing foil in 180 and 1.5° in downwind in 180.
Take-off speed for a good 80 kg glider is 8 knots horizontal speed.
Shape
Front fin: The 1260 UHA is the ultimate weapon for light wind downwind, wing foil or dockstart and surf foil. With a wingspan of 1179 cm, you’ll never fly so early. Pumping will be even easier and faster. The flexing of the tips over the last 20 centimetres will enable you to pump more easily while maintaining exceptional speed. To optimize your downwind launch, put more angle on the stab and slide your DW board to gain maximum speed before you start flying. This range is not made for beginners.
This 1260 UHA is a foil that will offer you precision in your curves and trajectories, as well as an impressive ability to follow or overtake swell trains. However, this range of kites is not designed for jumping.
Wingtips: the tips have been refined to reduce disturbance and increase manoeuvrability. But that’s not all: to further increase foil ‘s handling and pumping efficiency, we’ve added flex to the last 20 centimetres. This considerably increases the pumping efficiency of a wing.
This UHA range will excel whatever the wind. It gives you glide, stability and manoeuvrability, and lets you make the most of even the lightest wind and chop.
– Stabilizer: All our stabilizers will work with this foil UHA. However, to optimize glide, we recommend using the 240 or 180. A larger stabilizer (like the 240) will bring more ease and stability and power in very light winds, but will reduce glide by foil.
The smaller 180 cm2 stabilizer brings less drag, more maneuverability, but will take off a little earlier if you’re not comfortable. The 180 stabilizer completely debrides your foil, drastically increasing glide and maximum speed. It retains the same wingspan as the 240 stab, making it just as maneuverable. But it will allow you to reveal the full potential of this UHA range by improving the handling and glide of your foil.
