The SROKA Elite 14mm carbon foil is heavier than the average carbon mast because it's made with a lot of high-quality carbon, giving it exceptional rigidity. The mast is solid and has no foam inside, making it stronger and more durable.

There's no secret, a mast this smooth and rigid can't be any lighter, unless you use even better carbon fibers, which would make a much more expensive foil.

The extra weight is largely offset by its effortless glide and perfect responsiveness.

For a lighter mast, choose the 16mm SOLO carbon mast.

No, the Elite carbon mast is not compatible with the S-Foil Aluminium fuselage.

However, in order for you to be able to use your High Aspect, Classic, Control wings and stabilizers, a fuselage (Elite 100% Carbon or Elite Aluminium, your choice) is supplied with the mast.

Carbon masts are more expensive than aluminum masts for several reasons. Here are a few of them:

• Carbon is amore expensive materialthan aluminum,especially the M40J carbonthat we use for our masts. This carbon is of very high quality, with exceptional strength and rigidity. It is also morerare and more difficult to producethan aluminum.
• THEmanufacturing timeof a carbon mast ismore longthan that of an aluminum mast. Precise steps must be followed, such as cutting, draping, molding, demolding, sanding and varnishing the carbon.
• Quality control for a carbon mast is more demanding than for an aluminum mast. It is essential to meticulously check for defects or cracks in the carbon fiber that could compromise the mast's safety and performance. It is also crucial to ensure that the mast meets the required strength and rigidity standards.

Unlike the version with an aluminum fuselage, the carbon mast requires no special maintenance. Carbon fiber is a corrosion-resistant material that doesn't degrade with salt. Therefore, you don't need to rinse your carbon mast after each session or clean it with a special product. Simply store it in a dry place, protected from impacts.

However, the aluminum fuselage must be rinsed with fresh water after each session to prevent the screw inserts from oxidizing.
