Four parameters set apart Pumping foil kits in 2026: the material and length of the mast, the aspect ratio of the front wing, the weight of the board and the modularity of the system. With comparable aluminum masts and learning wings, the complete kits in this panel range from €1,299 to €2,608. This comparison brings together figures published by SROKA, Alpine Foil, Indiana, Ketos and AFS.
Transparency: SROKA Company manufactures Pumping foil equipment and appears in this comparison. Data from other brands comes from their official websites, collected in September 2026. The limitations of our own choices are detailed in the section "Our choices at SROKA, and their limitations".
Pumping is the only foil discipline practiced without wind, without waves, without a motor and without a paddle: the practitioner is the motor. Every gram and every energy loss is paid directly in fatigue and distance covered. For the basics of the discipline, consult our complete Pumping guide.
What do Pumping kits contain in 2026, and at what price?
A Pumping kit brings together a board and a complete foil: front wing, mast, fuselage and stabilizer. The table below compares kits equipped with an aluminum mast.
| Kit (aluminum mast) | Front wing | Aspect ratio | Mast | Board | Price |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| SROKA Pumping Kit 2000 HA | HA 2000, approximately 2,000 cm² | 9.8 | Aluminum 70 cm, 85 cm optional | Pump Board 80 V2 carbon | €1,299 |
| SROKA Performance kit, Pumping wings | Pump Foil 1500, 1750 or 2200 | 13.2 | Aluminum 70 cm, 85 cm optional | Pump Board 80 V2 carbon | €1,400 |
| Indiana, aluminum kit | Manta XL, 2,047 cm² | 9.5 | Aluminum | Indiana 105 | €2,479 |
| Alpine Foil Pumpfoil Modular Alu Kit + Board | DK 1240, 1,790 cm² | 8.6 | Aluminum 75 or 85 cm | Pocket Board | From €2,608 |
Kits with carbon mast: Alpine Foil Pumpfoil Modular Carbon Kit + Board from €3,147, Indiana with a wing from the Condor range at €3,269.
Ketos and AFS also sell kits, not detailed here. Their boards and wings appear in the following tables.
Before comparing two prices, check three things: the mast material, its length and the wing included. A price difference can only be read at equivalent specifications.

How to compare the weight of Pumping boards?
Weight is the first figure everyone looks at, and it's also the one that compares the worst. A light board is sometimes light because it's smaller or narrower. At similar dimensions, the outline, thickness and construction make the difference: always compare weight at equal size.
| Board | Dimensions | Weight (grams) | Construction | Price |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Ketos Skull 80 | 80 x 34 cm | 1.1 kg | Prepreg carbon, Airex core, double carbon stringer | From €1,299 |
| Alpine Foil Pocket Pro carbon 78 x 42 | 78 x 42 cm | 1.4 kg | Prepreg carbon | €1,299 |
| SROKA Pump Board 80 V2 | 80 x 39 cm, 6.2 L | 1.52 kg | Molded prepreg carbon, with stringer | €430 |
| AFS, carbon board | 83 x 38.5 cm, 7 L | 1.7 kg | HR carbon, Corecell core | €739 |
| AFS, Access board | 95 x 44 cm, 16 L | 2.3 kg | Fiberglass, PVC sandwich | €569 |
| Indiana 105 | 105 x 44 cm, 12.7 L | 2.6 kg | Not specified | €859 |

The Ketos Skull 80 measures 34 cm wide, the Pump Board 80 V2 39 cm and the Alpine Foil Pocket Pro 78 x 42 measures 42 cm for 2 cm less in length. These three boards are therefore not the same size, even if their length is similar. In this panel, the AFS carbon board, 83 x 38.5 cm, is the closest to the Pump Board 80 V2 in dimensions.
Construction also affects the price: AFS offers a carbon board at €739 and a fiberglass board at €569, 600 g heavier.
The real benefit of lightness is twofold. A light board is more responsive under your feet, and it generates less inertia in foil oscillations. In Pumping, inertia is a direct energy loss: with each impulse, you lift the board. The lighter it is, the less you spend for the same result.
Is a carbon mast more rigid than an aluminum mast?
Not necessarily. Carbon has become an automatic sales argument, and it's a misleading shortcut.
The rigidity of a mast depends on its construction, the layup and the thickness of the profile, not the material alone. A good rigid aluminum mast will do a better job than a soft carbon mast, for a significantly lower price.
At equal profile thickness, drag is identical regardless of material. Water doesn't know what the mast is made of, it only sees its shape. A carbon mast only provides a real gain if it allows a thinner profile at equal rigidity, or significant weight reduction.
Indiana moreover reserves the Condor XL, the wing with which Nicolas Iten set the Pumping world record in 4 h 02, for use with an aluminum mast, without warranty on carbon masts.
The right question to ask: what rigidity and what profile thickness, for what price. Not "carbon or aluminum".
What aspect ratio front wing to choose for Pumping?
Aspect ratio is the ratio between the wing's wingspan and its average chord. A long, thin wing has a high aspect ratio: it glides more and conserves energy better between two impulses. A more compact wing has a low aspect ratio: it takes off early, turns better and is more forgiving.

In 2026, the wings in this panel range from 8.6 to 13.6 aspect ratio. Each brand offers a learning wing under 10 and a performance wing above 12.
| Brand and model | Aspect ratio | Reference |
|---|---|---|
| Ketos, PK range | Up to 13.6 | The highest in the panel |
| Alpine Foil DK 1499 | 13.23 | 1,698 cm², wingspan 1,499 mm |
| SROKA, Pump Foil range | 13.2 | Sizes 1500, 1750 and 2200, wing of the performance kit |
| Indiana Condor XL | 12.6 | Wingspan 1,696 mm, wing of Nicolas Iten's world record, aluminum mast only |
| AFS Enduro | 11 | Pumping and carving range |
| Ketos Pump EVO 133 | 10 | Wingspan 1,330 mm, 1,770 cm² |
| SROKA HA 2000 | 9.8 | Learning wing of the €1,299 kit |
| Indiana Manta XL | 9.5 | 2,047 cm², wingspan 1,396 mm, wing of the aluminum kit |
| Alpine Foil DK 1240 | 8.6 | 1,790 cm², wingspan 1,240 mm, wing of the aluminum kit |
Modular platform or single-piece wing: what's the difference?
Two philosophies coexist on the market, and they affect your budget beyond the first purchase.
The common platform. The mast, fuselage and stabilizer remain identical from one practice to another, only the front wing changes. This is SROKA's approach, whose Pump Foil wings fit on all S-Foil fuselages, and Alpine Foil's with its Modular range. The advantage: you evolve your foil by buying a wing, not a complete foil. The downside: more joints and hardware, and wings designed for a standard fuselage rather than a single program.
The single-piece wing. Part of the fuselage is integrated into the wing molding, as on the single-piece versions of Indiana's Condor range. Indiana highlights increased torsional rigidity, fewer screws and less drag. The downside: each wing carries its portion of fuselage, which increases its unit cost, and the junction area concentrates stresses, requiring reinforcement at that point.
Neither approach is better in absolute terms. If you plan to evolve your equipment or practice multiple disciplines, the common platform is more economical over time. If you only do Pumping and are looking for the optimum on a single wing, the single-piece has its arguments.
How much does a complete Pumping foil cost?
Complete foils with aluminum mast: SROKA Complete Pump Foil 1500 - 2200 at €1,350, Alpine Foil Modular Alu from €1,474.
Complete foils with carbon mast: Alpine Foil Modular Carbon 75 cm from €1,809.
For boards alone, prices range from €430 to €1,299 in this panel (see the boards table).
Our choices at SROKA, and their limitations
We made three design choices. Here's what they bring, and what they don't.
A carbon board at an attractive price. The Pump Board 80 V2 is manufactured in a mold, in prepreg carbon with stringer. At 1.52 kg for 80 x 39 cm, it's one of the lightest production boards on the market at equivalent size, sold for €430. At very similar dimensions, it's lighter than AFS's carbon board (83 x 38.5 cm, 1.7 kg). It remains heavier than Ketos's Skull 80, which is narrower, and Alpine Foil's Pocket Pro 78 x 42, which is wider and shorter.
A rigid aluminum mast. Our kits use a 70 cm aluminum mast, 85 cm optional. This choice allows high-end construction at an attractive price: €1,299 for the learning kit, €1,400 for the performance kit. The limitation: we don't offer a kit with a carbon mast.
A common platform. Our Pump Foil wings fit on all S-Foil fuselages. The same foil also works in light wind wing foil, SUP foil or surf foil. The same board and foil also work in Pumping parawing: as soon as there's a bit of wind, you add a parawing and alternate between Pumping and sailing. The limitation: a wing on a common platform doesn't integrate the fuselage like a single-piece wing.
Our Pumping boards and wings are designed and tested in Brittany by Bruno Sroka and his team. The Pump Foil 2200 wing has already allowed flights of over 3 hours, and it's also suitable for heavier riders.

Which Pumping kit to choose based on your profile?
If you're a beginner, choose a wing between 8.5 and 10 aspect ratio, with a surface close to 2,000 cm², and a rigid aluminum mast of 70 to 75 cm. In this panel, three kits meet this profile: SROKA HA 2000 at €1,299, Indiana Manta XL at €2,479 and Alpine Foil DK 1240 from €2,608.
If you're aiming for distance and performance, choose a wing above 12 aspect ratio. Ketos, Alpine Foil, SROKA and Indiana all offer them, with more glide between two impulses but more demanding takeoffs.
If you plan to evolve your equipment or practice multiple disciplines, modularity will save you more than any purchase discount.
Finally, demand the figures. Wingspan, aspect ratio, surface, weight, material and mast length: these are the data that allow direct comparison. Profile thickness completes the reading, as it provides information on drag and potential rigidity, but it says nothing about the distribution of lift along the wingspan: it should never be read alone. Data that is not published remains data you won't be able to compare.

Bruno Sroka's word
On a market as young as Pumping, technical sheets must be read methodically. An isolated figure means nothing: it's the consistency of the whole, mast, aspect ratio, weight and modularity, that determines whether equipment will take you far or exhaust you. And a price can only be compared at equivalent specifications.

Frequently asked questions
What is the best Pumping kit in 2026?
There is no best kit in absolute terms: it all depends on your level. To learn, choose a kit with an aluminum mast and a wing between 8.5 and 10 aspect ratio, offered between €1,299 and €2,608 in this panel. For distance, choose a wing above 12 aspect ratio.
How much does a complete Pumping kit cost in 2026?
In this panel, aluminum mast kits cost from €1,299 to €2,608. Carbon mast kits cost from €3,147 to €3,269.
What aspect ratio to choose to start Pumping?
Between 8.5 and 10, with a surface close to 2,000 cm². A high aspect ratio wing glides better but forgives fewer placement errors, making dockstart learning more difficult.
Is a carbon mast really more rigid than an aluminum mast?
Not necessarily. Rigidity depends on construction and profile thickness, not material alone. A good rigid aluminum mast does a better job than a soft carbon mast, for a significantly lower price.
Why can't board weights be compared directly?
Because a light board is sometimes light because it's smaller or narrower. Weight can only be compared at equal size, taking into account outline, thickness and construction.
What is a single-piece wing?
It's a wing whose part of the fuselage is integrated into the molding. It gains torsional rigidity and reduces the number of screws. In return, its unit cost is higher and the junction area requires reinforcement.
Does modularity really save money?
It changes the cost of evolution. With a common platform, you only buy a front wing when your level progresses or when you change discipline, instead of a complete foil.
What mast length for Pumping?
70 to 75 cm is the standard for the discipline: it facilitates takeoffs and requires less precision in trim. 85 cm forgives touchdowns better and handles chop, but it's more demanding and generates drag if you don't fly high enough.
